So, with them REFUSING to PASS the Line Item Veto, in reality, the House and Senate have REALLY been controlling the country!!

RECENTLY - - JUST 8% of Likely Voters now say the DEMOCRATICALLY CONTROLLED Congress is doing a good or excellent job.

Democrats generally believe in heavy fines for honest work, while rewarding sloth and indulgence.

Do YOU think that people should be able to do absolutely nothing productive and get government hand-outs for sloth and indulgence - healthcare, tobacco, alcohol, drugs, STDs, etc. ??

You are aware, I hope, that "sponsoring" a bill IS NOT the same thing as AUTHORING a bill.  Bills have multiple sponsors.  It's all political - Richard Lugar will sign on as a sponsor for one of Ted Kennedy's bills and in return Ted will sign on as a sponsor for one of Richard's.  It's a quid pro quo thing - I'll help you get your pet project passed if you'll help me with mine.  It's also a way to play mind games with the other party:  "Oh look, we have 64 senators sponsoring this bill.  You 36 who disagree will never be able to stop us from passing this because we already have all the votes we need."

I'm far more interested in the bills that a particular senator or congressman AUTHORED.  What part did they play in the debate, in the committee that read the original bill, in the drafting of any changes?  Whether or not Obama played a significant role in authoring or amending a bill is far more important simply because this is where he has to put his senate seat where his mouth is.  And that's true for McCain or anyone else.

Give me the bills that Obama helped write, and I mean that he played a significant and important role in drafting the language and presenting his case before committees and the full Senate.  Show me through the bills he has written what he is really going to do if he's elected.  

One of our Democrat congressmen was on a local radio show a couple of years ago to explain the whole "sponsoring" of a bill and why it isn't as important as most people think.  It was eye-opening to find out just how many people sign on to "sponsor" a bill that many times they haven't even read, just because "sponsoring" a bill sounds so responsible and prestigious.

If you have a list of bills that Obama was instrumental in writing, both in Illinois and in Washington, I would be glad to look them over and rethink my opinion of him.

Yeah but that's completely different from having tons of experience

in selling planes on ebay or giving away military information to

the vietcong. The real deal about McCain and Palin is. McCain

can crash the plane and Palin can sell the scrap on ebay. That's

Obama is a fraud through and through.  I heard him claim to sponsor the McCain/Finegold campaign reform bill too!  Wonder why it wasn't called the Obama/Finegold bill? Go figure.
