How many board of directors in a corporation???who are they & what are they role??

  1. by legal definition of a corporation, the board of direction is the highest "organ" responsible for the day-to-day management of the company. (The highest "organ" is the General Meeting of Shareholders which by law may not manage the company day to day).

    Obviously there can only be ONE be THE HIGHEST.

    The directors meet and take decisions, most of the directors do work in the company and execute the decisions made.

    However, for large companies (in particular public companies) the Board of Directors usually only takes the most important decisions whereas the Executive Committee is responsible for hte daily management. In such a situation the Board of Directors are usually people with high level management experience but most of them do not work in the company.
