  1. I have two, my first one though i had for almost two years until it got too small.

No i don't wash mine after every wear becuz i only have two, and i don't do laundry everyday.

    well SORRY if i'm poor

  2. I have 18 bras. I guess the average would be about 7. one for each day of the week. To the person who said she only has 2- eww. They last as long as you want them to last. it's like clothing, good quality clothing (providing you don't change sizes) can last forever, or break, and only last a week. And yes, I wash them after every wear. Unless I go out partying 2 days in a row and i want to wear my plunge bra that is!

  3. I have 5, including the fancy pushupthingy for parties. I wear them a couple of times before washing, because otherwise you'd have to have a ton and that's jsut too much fuss. Some of mine I've had a good six months now at least, still going strong. I'd say don't pay too much heed to what shops say - when you can see that the bra is past its best, you know it's time to replace it.

  4. Bras should be washed by hand with delicates wash or a mild soap and line dried. This will prolong the elasticity of the fabrics. The average lifespan of a bra is four to six months of daily use. Proper care extends the lifetime of the garment.

So if you only have 1 bra you re-use everyday, then it will last 4-6 months, but if you have more than one then it extends the life of one bra.

I'd say on average 3-4 bras is good unless you don't do laundry every few days, then get one for every day of the week.

  5. I probably have about 10, including a few of the convertible strapless kind.  I think most people use their bras for more than 3 months before discarding them.  It seems kind of wasteful to throw them out so frequently.  I've had all of my bras for years although it is true that your size will probably change over time.

  6. Well I definitely keep my bras for over 3 months!

I dunno whats average but I have about 7 but I only wear about 3-4 of them.

I usually just keep them til they go all bobbly in the wash which is maybe about 6-12 months? I dunno if I was more careful washing them they would probably last longer.

  7. that is an embarrassing question haha

  8. i would say between 5 and 7 i have three but i just thrown out my old ones because they got discoulerd but anyways just yeah keep washing them and if you dont mix the coulors or put them in the tumble dryer im sure you could keep them for about maybe a year unless you grow out of them

  9. i have loads! dunno how many see it like it and its cheap buy it.  They last if you don't wear them every day.  Usually a clean one every day but sometimes i will wear it a 2nd day if its not been hot.  Sure deodorant stick is the best and works for 24hrs!  Bra lasts till the elastic or shape goes or i go up or down a cupsize i guess. Or i loose another wire in the washing machine lol

  10. I have 8.  some for everyday wear and some for best.  Mine seem to last ages.  I usually end up dumping them because they've discoloured in the wash, but they still have loads of wear left in them.  I bet the shop that said change them every 3 months is just trying to make more money

  11. I read that a bra lasts about 6 months. Some good quality ones may even last longer. It depends how many times you have worn it. Wash it as often as you like. Most bras need handwashing so they stay in shape. cheaper bras usually have the wires come out of them sooner. I also have bras for different use, e.g tshirt bra, sports bra, strapless bra, s**y bras. I think I have about 7. Its best not to get too many because your bra size changes all the time.

  12. The average is about 8 (I read a survey somewhere, but I forget the exact number).

If you have about 4 bras that you wear most of the time (with the other 4 being like your s**y bras, strapless, etc. that don't get used as often) they will last you about 6-9 months. Don't wear a bra two days in a row, the elastic needs time to recover or else it will wear out way sooner.

When you buy a bra, start on the loosest hook. As the months pass, move on the to the middle and then the tightest hook as the elastic wears out. Once you are on the tightest hook, start shopping for a new bra to replace it. When the tightest hook is no longer tight enough to be supportive, toss the bra and replace it.

I wash my bras after 2-3 wears. Handwashing them makes them last a lot longer.

  13. I'm not sure what the average bra count is but I personally have about 6-8. Mine have always lasted awhile.. like at least a year.. so I think a bra lasting only 3 months is insane! Sounds like the shops just want you to think you need bra's more frequently than you actually do. As far as washing.. I do mine in cold water on the delicate cycle after about 2-4 wears. If its a hot day then yes, I will wash it after one wear..

    Goodluck! =)
