2 is not a brand.  It denotes how hard the lead is.  Pencils are graded # 1, 2 and 3, with #1 being the hardest which will hold a point best making the finest line.

2 is not a pencil brand. Some pencil brands include Dixon (the most popular pencil company) Tennessee pencil company, Graphite pencil company, and the eagle pencil company. Trust me there are  a lot of pencil companies out there. By the way, the Dixon pencil is the one called #2 pencil.
