Very roughly 10,000 - for a three bed semi.

To calculate you need to know that there are about 60 bricks to the square metre - you then calculate the superficial area of the house and factor up. Internal walls, and the inner leaf of cavity construction, are nearly aways made of conc block, although below ground work is usually brickwork. There are more used in the construction of drains and boundary walls, garages etc.
