I'm currently dieting & exercising to lose weight. I'm using an online food diary program to keep track of my progress and they tell me I should have 1483 calories a day to lose the amount of weight I want to each week. However, my "meal plan" I've created for myself includes having a slim fast optima meal-to-go shake for breakfast, a lean cuisine frozen entree for lunch and then dinner is less constricted. This totals out to way under 1483 calories per day... since breakfast and lunch alone end up at around 440 calories. Is this unhealthy even though if I were to go on a "slimfast diet" or a "lean cuisine diet" as they recommend I'd be eating only their food products and probably be intaking even less calories? How many calories are not enough?
