I just want to know how much she needs because she is also eating solid foods and I want to gradually reduce the amount of breast milk.

  1. It varies too much from person to person, and varies by age and "need" from the baby.

  2. You don't go by calories, you go by servings.  Even if she is eating solids now, she is still going to need a good three servings of milk a day (usually 6-8 oz) or more for some babies.  Don't start counting calories with babies, because you may end up short changing them.  If you really are concerned about how much breastmilk she is having, then ask your doctor.

  3. 20 calories per ounce of breast milk

  4. Why does it matter?  Only babies drink it and they need to gain weight.  Breast milk is designed for babies.
