How many calories do birds use when they fly??

I know its a really strange question but it came into my head when walking home today?

Let me tell you:

You MUST read this book.  It is about the humble street pigeon everyone takes for granted.  Some people hate these creatures without knowing anything about them!!!  How idiotic iis that?

These successfull creatures were here far longer than we started inhabiting this great planet earth.

Did you know that the pigeon is actually called a Rock Dove?

Their homing instinct is amazing.  Better than you or I.

British racing pigeons that have disappeared  while crossing the English channel have been known to resurface as far away as New York's New Island Sound and even South China Sea!

They can live off a mere spoonful of seed/grain and still fly such amzing long distances.

Some people proclaim that these creatures are rats with wings.  But only you and I should at least agree that humans are a far worse 'rat like problem'.

Common sense always prevails amongst the erudite and socratical thinker!  That's why we are happier and more caring compared to the latter.

Im not EXACTLY sure, but probably not much. Think about it, flying for them is just like walking for us, lol. Hope this helps!
