Recently I've been riding the exercise bike out my my carport once a day for 30 minutes. Usually I ride at around 25 - 30 MPH.

How many calories a day should I lose if I keep doing this?

Thanx in advance for any answers to my question.

  1. I have no idea what the answer to your question is, but, on the other hand, you can buy one that tells you how many calories you've burnt and you can input how many you want to lose, so it tells you how long you have to ride for.

  2. Get a heart rate monitor and a training book. Not only will it help you set up a training regimen, it'll tell you approximately how many Calories you're burning. If your exercise bike is reading 25-30 mph, it is telling you garbage and there's no way to know what kind of a workout you're really getting.

  3. what is your sustained heart rate? mph is a superfluous measure in the whole calorie equation. I can desend a hill at 45 mph, with only the slightest rise in my pulse. wheeee!! then again, I can turn around at the bottom and climb the same hill at 10 mph, with my heart rate monitor on speed dial to 911!!
