How many calories does an average female burn in one day?

Just doing normal everyday tasks? Not including exercise.

  1. Your body needs about 1200 calories a day to function, so once you add in daily exercise and normal house work etc, most of us burn around 1800-2000 just doing normal things.

  3. A dietitian told our class for a moderately active person it is body weight in pounds times 13. So a 115 pound person would need about 1200 calories to maintain that weight. ymmv.

    You wake up hungry in the morning so your body must be consuming most of that right?

  7. I actually wear a calorie burning watch to track my daily burn calories. With an hour walk everyday and all my other mom things I do, I burn around 5,200 calories from the time I put it on after my morning shower till I go to bed. That does not count sleep time which you still burn calories.

    If you want to keep track I strongly suggest the watch. So long as you burn more calories than your intake you will loose weight. You can find one at walmart, target, sports authority and so on.

  9. The average female burns about 16-1900 calories daily. In comparison men burn about 2200-2700 daily. Sometimes more. Women got the short end of the stick on the metabolic front... sorry. :)
