I've started going swimming twice a week and I'd say my style is the crawl (the pros also training in the pool are going muuuuuch faster, so the technique is surely very off, but doesn't matter, more resistance and exercise for me...). I swim for between 1,5h and 2h doing laps and count the distance covered (1650m and 2100m respectively). Aside from an odd gulp of water and 20 sec of rest at one end at some milestone (like 500 and 1000m) I swim constantly. So is this an OK routine and how many calories could this be burning (I'm about 130punds)?
