How many calories in a shot of booze?

Tequila, Vodka, Whiskey--how many calories--are they really fattening? What's the best shot when you're on a diet?

Usually about 60-100 per shot depending on the proof and type. Bacardi Superior Rum was advetised as 0 sugar 0 carbs.

Hard alcohol have few calories, and nearly zero carbs.  You get in trouble with the juice, syrups, regular sodas, etc that get added to drinks.  (or by drinking beer, which has more calories/carbs then hard alcohol.)  By sticking with hard alcohols and sugar free mixers, you won't be adding to many calories to your diet.
