How many calories is in an average bottle of rose wine?

on a night out where I'm planning to get tipsy/drunk, I usually drink a whole bottle of rose flavour wine (various brands) and was wondering how many calories would tend to be in that? thanks

  1. Calories are the least of your worries and denial is one of the first signs . . .

I think it is about 100 calories per glass.  You mentioned that you plan to drink an entire bottle, so multiply that times the number of glasses in a bottle.  Surely you won't drink the whole bottle by yourself and will share with other guests.  And hopefully you will not be drinking out of the bottle but from a glass.

  3. depends on the wine, sweeter wines tend to not have as much alcohol as drier wines, and have more calories.  If you are really worried about calories your best bet is getting a high proof wine (MD 20/20 or wild irish rose, etc) or even better yet, a hard liqour like vodka, that has VERY little calories and more alcohol content.

  4. I think white wine has less calories than red wines.  But, if you really can drink a whole bottle, it'll be more.  Hope you have someone driving for you.  That's a lot of wine for one person to drink.

  5. It should say on the bottle.  You could take a look between swigs, that is if you vision hasn't been impaired by then.
