How many calories per day can I eat if I want to weigh 160 lbs without exercising? Extra info so you can better determine my metabolism: I'm 17, male, 204 lbs (down from 230 at the beginning of the summer), 5' 7", pretty muscular under the fat (I guess I have a naturally broad build- at least that's what the doctor said [which is why I'm aiming for 160 instead of 140]), and inclined to believe I have a fairly low metabolism (that could just be the lack of exercise and me making excuses for being fat/wanting to believe it's not my fault I'm fat). And please, no answers saying that I should be exercising more or whatever. Thanks in advance for your replies!

  1. You need to eat 2111 calories to maintain your current  weight. To lose weight, it would be better to cut back on 500 calories. So just eat 1600 calories. You could eat 1800 calories, if you were willing to work out, but since you are not willing to do that, then just eliminate 500 calories per day.

    But it would be good to build some sort of muscle if you are going to lose all that fat. Just lift some dumbbells when you are watching tv. That should help with the muscle building.

    And as you decrease weight, you should thrive to eat less, because as your weight declines, your body wont need as much energy to keep up with its daily needs.

    1)exercise to build muscle-3x per week(20 minutes per session)

    2) eat to increase your metabolism rate-don't skip your meal-breakfast,lunch,dinner and 2 snacks between meal..take smaller portion every meal...

    3) water for detox-drink a lot of plain water. for every 25 kg you gained, drink 1 litre of plain water...

    try this tips in one month and you will get a great result...

  3. 2000 calories is what you should aim for. eating around 6 small meals instead of 3 large. also lots of coffee and lots and lots of water.  But i got some bad news your going to need to exercise. with that diet and exercise you could safely loose 2-3 lbs a week. Just eating like that though will definitely help
