I am 20 yrs old, 5'2, and 116lbs. I am trying to loose a bit of weight to fit into a dress for a wedding. I want to weigh 102 lbs.

The wedding is on Sep. 20th.

I speed walk 2 miles everyday, and have been consuming roughly 1,000 to 1,200 calories a day.

How much should I be eating in order to reach my goal weight in time?

  1. The weight you will be losing by consuming only 200 - 800 calories a day will be muscle weight and water. By consuming so few calories your body goes into "starvation mode" and reserves the fat. The best way to lose weight is to have 3 healthy meals a day.

  2. For your height, your ideal weight is between 103lbs and 125lbs.  You're well within range.

Base on your parameters, the calories required per day is approximately 1354 cal using BMR calculation.

  3. You are eating enough, and I wouldn't suggest eating any less.  If anything, stay at around 1200 cals, but up your exercise another mile or two, or increase the intensity.  Try jogging and see how you handle it.  More exercise is better than trying to cut more food.

  4. u should be eating 2000 a day

so to lose wait stay at yr rountine atm

  5. You should be trying to tone out and build muscle. Based on your height and weight your not overweight at all. Do some free weights( 10-15 pound) and jog early in the morning and in the evening. You should consume around 1200-1400calories a day. Drink TONS of  Ice water(8-10 glasses a day) this will keep you full and speed up your metabolism(because your body must warm up from being cold) I hope these tips help you :). Good luck!!

  6. 1500calories is normal per day for you. in spite of this you should do exercise daily for about 1 hr. it is must for you
