  3. if you compare it to the avg is 2300 for the avg adult male then its probably around 1500 or so. 1800 or so is required for teens, but of course they are starting puberty, so they need a substantial amount of calories, although not as much as adults of course since their lean mass is a lot less til after puberty finishes.  This is all based on avg, and well the "ideal calorie intake" for those things in my opinion are much too scrawny.  I'd like to believe that the poster who posted 2000 for kids is abetter choice than the "RDA".

    Of course keep in mind if you mean children that play x-box all day then yeah they prob need substantially less lols.
