pretty sure the human eye can only see upto 5 megapixels. after that its just for enlarging pictures and keeping good quality.

It can't even be compared, because it is 2 completely different optical systems.

It is our brain that deciphers what image is being seen, through impulses coming in from the optic nerve. The eye is only a receptor . There are millions of cells on the retina that gather the light to form the image data that goes to the brain.

A camera just sees the image that it there and copies it.
