How many carry ons can a you take on a plane (united airlines)?

we are going to L.A. for my cousins wedding and we are staying there for 19 days. I dont have enough space in my luggage to put my laptop but i want to bring a purse and a bag... can i bring that?? can i use my laptop during the plane ride? do i have to turn off my phone or can i just put it in airplane mode?

Yea u can bring that, but you can't use your laptop for going online on the plane, you're phone does need to be turned off, because those signals interferre with the navigation and communication systems.

You can bring one carry on and one personal item. You can use the laptop once you get to 10,000 feet. Your phone will have to be turned off the entire flight. You can watch movies on your laptop when you are above 10,000 feet.
