  1. About time they got something right..............

    Here here

  2. Three cheers here!

I just bought a Smith and Wesson last week.  I was fearful I'd have to start buying crossbows.

  3. Yeah, for the guys in the big robes making the Constitution say something it doesn't !!!

  4. It's astonishing how many people don't even understand the ramifications of this Court decision. The Court ruled that you can use a gun in self-defense; it only clarified an interpretation of the law. It did not change anything.

The 2nd Amendment's original intent was to give people the "right" to "keep and bear arms" in order to protect themselves from a tyrannical and oppressive government.

All the Court did was specify that guns could be used in an instant of self-defense. It does not give anyone the 'right' to use an AK47 for the sheer sport of killing someone.

Gun owners have this paranoia that assmes anti-gun owners want to abolish firearms. Not true! Guns should be registered to rightful owners (just as cars are registered to rightful owners); gun owners should be properly trained in the use and safety of firearms (just as car owners must take a driver's test). Legal gun owners should not be allowed to let their weapons be used in the commission of any crime (just as car owners should not be allowed to let their vehicles be used as a 'get-away' car).

If you need to own a gun to compensate for your sexual inadequacies, or if you need to somehow 'prove' your manood with a gun, so be it. But you should also understand the more pragmatic reasons why gun ownership is so important to our national liberties: you should be prepared to use your gun to protect the citizenry from tyranny. As Thomas Jefferson said: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants".

As a gun owner, you have a Constitutional right - and obligation - to 'bear arms' against anyone who tries to abolish Americans' freedoms (as corporations, special interest groups and wealthy elitists are doing today).

If you use your gun for 'self-defense', you best be absolutely prepared to prove it was used for such activity. If you use your gun to protect our rights, and use it as part of any organized and 'well-regulated Militia', you have a patriotic duty to do so. Robt. Maynard Hutchins said: "The death of democracy is not likely to be an assassination from ambush. It will be a slow extinction from apathy, indifference and undernourishment".

Think about the Court's decision as an extention of your  patriotic duty, not as a license to kill just for the fun of it.

  5. none. because of your handguns two people i care a lot about have been shot. They died just because sum guy wanted to steal from them. If he couldnt have gotten his hands on a gun maybe he wouldnt have been able to shoot them. Guns help kill. why the h**l do u need a gun? planning a murder

  6. hip hip hoohaa

  7. There will be many from me.  I bet the kool ade stands are full of crying libs this morning.

  8. Here is one cheer. One of the first things that Hitler did was collect all the guns from Germany citizen's..........go figure....................

  9. Not from me. I was hoping that they'd deny this constitutional claim. I say that because of the lack of precedent and because of the very, very real possibility that this ruling now will cause even greater divisiveness.

You realize now, don't you, that the next time a Republican president nominates a candidate for a Sup. Ct. vacancy, the Democrats will grill that candidate for their stance on gun control laws?

  10. I don't know if it is anything to cheer about, but I believe that it is the correct interpretation of the second amendment.

  11. Yea buddy, now we can go ahead with our "hard liquor and handgun night" promotion at our baseball park.

  12. Hot girl in tight sweater and really short skirt:  "Rah! Rah! Rah! Go Second Amendment!"

I'm sure Handgun Control Incorporated is crying in their lattes about now.

  13. Greg

What part of "Shall not be infringed"

    didnt they get right?

Hey why, guns didnt kill your friends, bad people did.

They were not LEGAL gun owners.

If someone close by would have had a firearm, you friends would be alive, and the bad men would be dead.
