How many children are adopted each year in the US?

i need the answer for a very special project. and i need to know soon.

Approx 130,000 adoptions are finalised in the US per year.

Amazingly there are still over 100,000 children waiting for adoption in US foster care.

Sad really.

I guess too many people want a healthy infant to make their family - instead of helping the children that truly need loving homes.

The USA has far and away the highest rates of adoption in the world.

Not nearly enough to keep them from being placed from home to home in foster care. Look up adoption percentage on the net.
