  1. Thats a hard question to answer, because there is no real database. If a child has mild disabilities or SEN then they may have a 'normal' education.

    I do however know that 1.3% of school children in uk have an SEN statement.

    Look on nationalstatistics.gov.uk and they may have some more info.

  2. It would be hard to quote that.  March of Dimes probably has an estimate though.

    Many students are not diagnosed with a disability until late elementary or middle school.  Some disabilities also manifest during or after puberty (schizophrenia comes to mind) more often than not.   Then I also wonder are you looking to include the kids who have disabilities because of trauma, abuse, medical issues, etc.?

  3. A phenominal number.  for instance there are approximately 1300 babies born each year who have cerebral palsy.  If you take into account other disabiities, the number goes quite high.
