How many choices do u have for uni's?

how many uni's can u pick for courses , im talking about when ur doing ur a-levels. and also when do u have to decide what uni andcourse u want to do, also are ur as results available by then

  1. You can pick 5 unis and you will have to apply november to be able to start the following sept, your a level results will not be available by then but the uni gives you an offer expecting you to have the grades needed. If you dont achieve grades needed they can withdraw their offer.


  2. You can pick a maximum of five universities initially (it used to be six). If you want to apply to Oxford or Cambridge, medicine, dentristry or vetinary medicine you have to apply in the October before you go to uni (I think by the end of October). Otherwise you have until around January to apply but UCAS will accept applications as late as June I believe. Around May you'll pick your firm and insurance choices, so the one you most want to go to and the one you like second best, out of the ones who have given you an offer. You already have your AS results before you apply, so the universities can get an idea of what you might get in your A2s.
