it should be a more a matter of quality rather than quantity. if she's doing a bunch of things that are time consuming and tough then i would limit how many things she did. a bunch of little things, on the other hand, is not bad. when i was a teen i had to do the dishes and vacuum every day. once a month i had to clean the stair banisters and baseboards. and i helped out with laundry on the weekends. i thought it sucked, but my parents gave me everything i wanted and needed and in hindsight i guess they needed the help both working full time. i obviously had to keep my room clean too.

It depends on the child.  I think school activities can be just as important in teaching responsibilities as chores, but contributing at home will always be something a person has to balance.

Adults could learn that too! ;o)

anything that her parents need her to do...dont be lazy or think that just because your a girl that you dont have to do chores..women fight to have the same rights as men... this just so happens to be on of the duties that they accidental got..

When i was 14 i had to do just about anything: cook, vacuum clean, do the dishes, clean again randomly etc.

I don't think there is an actual limit because i don't think cleaning can affect someone in bad ways.
