  1. None, as previously mentioned, assuming those fish grow to their full potential, the tank will be bordering overstocked.

And, "I work at a fish store" does not = knowledge in fish.....that's easily proven by walking into any pet/fish store and listening to the advice that's given out by the employees.  So, that's really nothing to brag about.

    And, what's a a "Saluni cichlid"?  I'm guessing you mean a "salvini"?

    I rest my case.

  2. It'd add an oscar :) A small one...

the obvious thing is, at adult size, your tank is definitely full. Green Terror doesn't stay 1.5.

But it'll take several years before they outgrow the tank. So i wouldnt' worry much now.

    I'd even add a Demasoni :)

But make sure after 6-7 years, you have your second tank prepared.

  3. You know what Ryan?  So you work at a Pet store, you know what that tells me?  It tells me that you are likely to tell people whatever they want to hear to make a sale.  You know how many pet stores I've seen that don't even know the fish they keep in their tanks?  Working at a Pet Store is not exactly something I'd proudly display as that industry as a whole in terms of fish keeping, SUCKS.  Not saying you personally, but I'd rethink advertising that in this forum.

I've already told you why a Jack Dempsey isn't going to work.  I KNOW what I'm doing too.  I keep and breed aggressive and mild Africans.  I also know that mixing two rule the tank types is not advised or good to do.  Like the others told you, when these fish are grown, you ARE going to have issues with this stock selection.  If you want to listen to Chris W because that's what you wanted to hear on your last question, go ahead, it's not my tank.  You want to find out the hard way, go for it.  All I can say is I told you so twice now.  You already have a ticking time bomb in that Green Terror, and you want to add another time bomb?  Where do you work?  I will make sure I don't go to that store.

If you are so smart, you wouldn't need to ask something like this in the first place.  I'll tell you what Einstein, you go ask this in cichlid-forum.com, where there are much better people in there then you or me combined, and you see what you get told over there.  It's pretty clear that you only want to hear what you want to hear, and proves further my point why pet stores are not nearly as good as private breeders.  I don't say this often, but thank you for the 2 points, and I'll see you in about six months asking why your stock got wiped out.  Just reference this and the other question, you already got your answer ahead of time.

I breed my own Africans Ryan, I DO know what I am talking about.

  4. Once those fish hit full grown, they will have the tank fully stocked. I already answered the same question you asked yesterday and my answer has not changed. You can not add any more fish, those fish get big!

  5. I think you should get couple more fish. You can get a couple more Blood Red Parrot Cichlids and severums!

  6. u can get some jack dempseys or maybe firemouths but these  when in breeding they will become aggresive anyway good luck on your choices hope i have helped a little

  7. That is great that you work at a fish store, cuz than you know that you have a Salvini Cichlid and not a Saluni Cichlid.  It is also great that you take excellent care of the fish that you have given that some of the ones that you own require a different Ph level than the other ones that you have along with different water temps. as well as the fact that some are more aggressive than others and once they hit maturity, they can start to go after the smaller ones that you own. Parrot cichlids can not defend themselves due to the deformities of their mouths.  It is a general rule of thumb to have 1 gallon of water for every inch of fish that you have. Right now you have a 90 gallon tank with roughly 24 inches of fish. Which would give you plenty of room for more given that you have a 90 gallon tank. However, you own not your typical tropical fish. You own aggressive and semi-aggressive.  your Parrot cichlid will grow to 8 to 10 inches, your Green Severum can be anywhere from 6 to 12, your Salvini about 6 inches, Convict about 6 inches, Green terror about 12 inches and your sailfin can reach up to 24 inches. So, while I am sure that you would love to add to your tank, I really would not recommend that you do. Unless of course, you want to watch your fish attack eachother for territories. By the way, I also work at a fish store and would never recommend that anyone set up a 90 gallon and have recommend that they buy all the fish you have and place them in one tank.

  8. I think you should not add any more fish until you do some research on the fish you already have.  I also have worked at a fish store and have seen what mixing the wrong fish can do.  Many people buy fish, just from looking at them and liking the "name" or the colors, without learning anything about them.

You need to know aggression levels for each species, food requirements and adult size for each fish.  Then you can make an informed decision on your own without having to rely on people you don't know who have no real interest in whether or not "your" cichlid community tank fails or succeeds.
