  1. There are no rules on moving cigarettes for your own consumption within the EU (which Spain and Scotland are part of).

However if customs stop you with thousands of cigarettes you will have to convince them that they are for your own consumption. Therefore I would recomend that you only buy one brand or two brands if there are two people travelling. I've brought back 5000 for myself with no problems and am entitled to legally.

If you do get caught bringing back cigarettes for resale they will confiscate your car/van as well as the cigs.

  2. they say 200 but i brought 2000 from spain to ireland just take them out of the cartons and make sure there all the same brand

  3. As many as you can carry.

  4. You are allowed 3200 - 16  boxes from Spain to Scotland.

I do this every 4 months

  5. You can bring back as many as you like from most EU countries if they are for personal consumption. However, customs are more likely to ask you questions if you have more than 3200 cigarettes. Visit http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/ and search on cigarettes.

  6. If you buy them in duty free the amount is limited. It is much cheaper to buy them in Spain. I usually take them out of the boxs and put the packets in my case. As many as I need

  7. 3200, thats 16 cartons

  8. as many as you like

  9. Get me a sleeve of mayfair pal eh?

  10. As many as you like as long as they're for your own use and you don't bring back 50,000 truck loads.

  11. probably not as many as you smoke in a day

  12. The official limit is supposed to be 200 per person, but loads of people bring back more in their suitcases, either for mates or to... I'll stop here.

If you do get caught with more than your fair share of cigarettes, cough, hack and swear blind, in a gravelly voice, they are for personal consumption! XD

  13. Unlimited, as long as they are satisfied they are for personal use. It's not like a duty free allowance because you can't get duty free within EU anyway.

Get us a brick o marlboro reds too while you're there please.
