How many cities have banned the use on plastic shopping bags???

Which cities have banned this usage?

I found information on 2 cities, San Fransisco and Portland, OR, that either have banned or are looking to ban. Also IKEA is looking at ban plastic bags in all it's stores.

Since they crush up boxes and we can always use more boxes why don't they put grocerys in boxes?

I like that it is easier to carry and get more into a box.
