  1. Don't know.  Good reason to go to a private doctor.  Just look one up in the phone book and ask the receptionist if they are accepting new patients.  Besides its always better to have a doctor who know you.  That way when you are deathly ill on a weekend or Thanksgiving, you can get treatment more easily.

  2. None! I have never had a blood test before being given drugs. Usually the result of the blood test dictates what drugs I need. For example blood test shows high cholesterol, prescribe statin. Blood test shows anemia, prescribe iron and so on. Best of Luck

  3. its like rolling a dice some will some wont be my family doc told me this as he also does urin screen on some pts before giving out meds !

  4. it depends on the kind of medication. With some medications, blood tests are necessarybefore they can be prescribed. So, in that effect, every clinic will need to take blood.

You do, however need to be honest about any drug, legal or otherwise that you are taking when you start a new medication because some drugs can't be mixed together. Your doctor won't judge, and due to doctor-patient confidentiality, they cannot call the cops on you. They just need to know to ensure your safety.
