How many clones can you take off a plant at one time? Is there a limit?

A good rule of thumb is never more than 50% of the plant.

Don't hack it to death, and let it recover, or if you don't plan to keep it, just pitch it.

nope as long as you leave enough of the original plant to stay alive

There is definitely no limit. From my experience, anywhere there is new growth is a great place to take a cutting. Depending on what kind of plant, that may be an issue. Try looking up the kind of plant via web (yes there are lots of marijuana sites)

but really, the more cuttings you take, the more valumptiouse (sp?) the mother plant becomes when she produces more new growth.
