I am 16 and going back to regular school. I want to leave no free time for me to get into trouble. I will probably have like five main classes and two half year classes. Right now, the only thing I struggle in is Math. Social Studies, Science, LA and all the other classes are no challenge for me. How many clubs or sports should you sign up for in high school this year? I am not sure if the high school has a debate team, but I would love to join that and maybe a drama class. Thanks.

  1. Two, three tops. Some teams are half year clubs, so maybe two of those and one full year club.

  2. Depending on the high school course you're taking, this will determine how many clubs you should join.

If you're taking regular classes---join about 6-7 clubs during the school year.

If you're taking Honors classes---join about 2-3 clubs during the year.

As for AP courses-- I suggest you should join about 1-2 for the year.

In conclusion, join clubs that you like and that make sure you have time to relax yourself when you're in stress.

  3. Clubs take up very little time on a monthly basis.  I was on the HELP club (some sort of peer intervention against drugs group), the Foreign Language Club, the Technology Club and the Future Business Leaders of America club.  .........all took up VERY little time.

Sign up for as many as you wish

  4. Clubs are good. They're fun and educational, but don't do too many. You should have at least a little free time to relax. Debate and Drama are great. You could take those two, and maybe one more. But that's it. Don't do too much.

  5. join as many as you can. you can drop out of the ones you dont like later. its a good experience, and also you will become more social with others and make alot of friends.

  6. like 6 or 7

  7. 2 or 3. Don't spread yourself to thin.

  8. only 2

there's no need for any more than that

  9. Shouldn't you be asking how to stay out of trouble?  If you don't learn how to control yourself now what happens when you graduate into the world?

Chose only the clubs you would be interested in and give you some benefit.  If you are concerned about being in the wrong  crowd you will have to consider that  when you decide  which clubs to join.  Spend time doing your home work and ask for extra in the areas you are weak.
