  6. Actually, I think there's as many colors as there are numbers. Now one knows! There's billions of shades of every color I'm guessing. But yeah, there's a lot!

  7. The correct answer is, there are an infinite number of colors in the world. Colors are mixtures of reflected light frequencies, and those frequencies can be mixed in infinite combinations.

    Do you mean just flat out colours like green, blue, red...or different shades of colours like crimson, cherry red, baby blue, royal blue, lime green, emerald green, dark green...?

  14. impossible to say, but in Greek mythology the Greek gods said there were only three true colours blue, yellow, and red.

  15. Okay, so human eyes can see light when it hits something, or from where it originates. White light is the combination of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. Colors are frequencies, red being the lowest, and violet the highest. When we see light hitting an object we see different colors because certain color frequencies of the white light are absorbed, the remainder are the colors we see. For example, if your table is green the white light is hitting it, and the red, orange, yellow, blue, indigo, and violet parts are being absorbed, so you just see green. Soooooo, in answer to your question (finally, right?) we can see all colors from red to violet, but I'm sure there are tons we can't see. In the end it depends on your definition of individual colors. If you were to count all variations of frequencies from extremely low to extremely high, no matter how slight the variation there would be...well, a lot...maybe infinite, maybe not...unknown.
