i have three combonations:

double flip d. toe d. loop

double lutz d.toe

and double loop d. loop.

is this possible or are there too many combonations?

are there too many double loops?

do you think i should change the double loop combonation to a double salchow d. loop? or to a triple loop and risk it being two footed or fallen on?

  1. It really depends on the level, but seeing as you seam like your in a high level, im sure you could do 3 jump combinations. But it also depends on your music lenght too, makes sense right? If your music was only 1.30 then why would you waste most the time doing combo's (not saying it wastes, but you need footwork spins spirals etc..) , but i'd say talk to your coach about it, he/she will know how to create the program :) !

    happy skating !

  2. What level are you competing at? You need to check the USFS rulebook.  Your coach should know this.

  3. I'm pretty sure you are only allowed 2-3 combinations but I'm not really sure

  4. um i am not very sure but it could possibly be about 5 combinations. sorry if this is wrong!

  5. Is this long program?

If so you can have 3 combinations, but you can only have do two of each jump so you'll have to lose a double loop. You might want to change the combination to a d. sal/d. loop to max out your combinations. But if you can do a triple loop consistantly 6-7/10 tries, you might want to put it in there. But also ask your coach and see what he thinks.

Go to http://www.usfigureskating.org/content/S...  - thats where you can find all the element rules. Your coach should also know these rules so ask him to just to make sure.

  6. it depends on what level you are. If you are on the junior level than you have to have 3 jump combinations. Same in senior. i don't think it matters how many of the same double jump you have but I would recommend putting different jumps. you can only have up to 2 (I think or maybe 3) of the same triple jump, but the second triple jump has to be in combination. Only the axel can be done 3 times. If you are not sure you can always ask your coach!!!!;) Good luck;)
