  1. If one of the compounds is carbon, the number of compounds can be enormous and almost unlimited.


  2. Just Hydrogen and Oxgen can from OH (hydroxide), H2O (water), H3O (hydronium). the answers is A WHOLE LOT

  3. It depends on which elements.  Hydrogen and oxygen can form 2.  sodium and chlorine can form only one.  Carbon and hydrogen can form an almost limitless number.
