  1. I agree with the previous answer. The average adult in the U.S. consumes only a few pounds of beef in a week, whereas an entire cow obviously can produce more than just a few pounds of meat.

  2. none a average american can not eat a whole cow !

  3. Hmm.  I probably average a pound of beef a week.  So, a 900 pound steer would last 900 weeks, or 17 years and four months. I suppose the question becomes how average am I at a pound of beef a week.   Even if I ate a pound of beef a day (which would be an awful lot), I'd be eating about 8% of a 900 pound steer a week.

  4. The average American consumes 67lbs of beef a year. A slaughtered cow after processing will yield 470-520lbs of edible meat. Do the math.

    If you can't:

67/52(weeks per year) = 1.29lbs a week rounded off. Not even close to a whole cow much less "cows"

  5. I used to work in at Outback steakhouse (mmmm mid rare filets goood!! Ha ha) and they said they go through 20,000 a week.  Nothing better than a warm and wilggling tender steak  !!

  6. Let's see...the average side of beef is 400 lbs.  This will last the average family of four one year.  So, the average person eats a little under 2 lbs of beef a week at home.  This doesn't count eating out.

  7. .02 cows

  8. How many cows? Are you sure that's what you meant? Or are you just being a smart ****?

  9. Cows are not usually eaten, they are use for the dairy industry.

A fraction of a steer would be eaten. Perhaps 1 percent.
