I just got this report card in the mail and it says i have 11 credits

I passed every single class but earth science.

Is 11 credits enough to pass the 10th grade? I'm taking summer school for Earth science now. Oh and if it helps, i live in new york.

  1. Only your school can answer that question.  And, if you want to switch schools, then the school that you want to go to will have to answer the question.  Earth science may be required there -- it's required in the HS where I teach.

  2. If you are using the term credits correctly you do not have enough credits./ You acquire one cred fit for each major subject that you pass each term./ That means that you should have had 8-10 credits at the end of the 9th year. If you have 11 credits you are too far behind to enter the 11th grade.

Please speak to your guidance counselor about what should be done for you.

If you mean units and not credits you are in good shape.

  3. If you passed every class except one that you don't even need, I'd say you passed.

Although, we don't freakin' run your school so nobody can say for sure.

  4. Unfortunately, high schools do not all use the same credit system.  You will need to call your high school and talk to either the school counselor or administrator and ask.

  5. Every school is different, mine doesn't have one, it's 1 credit for becoming a soph. and 14 for a senior, and if you want to go to a different school find out what theres is
