  1. Because Bearded Dragons are omnivores, they need a balanced diet of meat and vegetable matter. Hatchlings eat mostly small insects. As they grow, they will start to eat more vegetable matter.

The diet of a juvenile dragon (2-4 months of age) will consist of approximately 80% insects and 20% greens. Young dragons should be fed 2-3 times daily. ( aproximatly 8 crickets a feeding so around 24 crickets daily).

  2. jay has the best answer

  3. A baby beardie will eat 10-20 a day, maybe a little less, depending on how big....

As the dragon grows, at 6-9 months old, you can be up to as much as 75-100 a day...

Sorry, forgot to add, when they are adults, the number goes way down...  don't freak on the huge number.  At about a year old, you can wean them down to 2-3 times a week...

  4. when it is a baby feed it 2-3 times daily at first (some will only eat once a day)  they can eat 10- 60 crickets a day when they are small. and no im not crazy it does seem like alot but you also have to keep in mind that it depends on how small the crickets are. each store has different ideas of what is considered small med large. i have a 3 month beardie and he normally eats 20 but i went to a different place that i normally do to get crickets and they were alot smaller so now he eats about 40 a feeding. also something that you can do is start of with 12 then when he is done i dropped 1 in to see how fast he ate it and then i would just count how many crickets you feed him untill he starts to slow dont on eating them. that will give you an idea of how much he can eat in one feeding.
