  1. Well, you'd need to define what is safe...

    According to wikipedia:

"The LD50 of caffeine in humans is dependent on weight and individual sensitivity and estimated to be about 150 to 200 milligrams per kilogram of body mass, roughly 80 to 100 cups of coffee for an average adult taken within a limited time frame"

LD50 means the lethal dose where, on average, 50% of the subjects die. In short, 80-100 cups of coffee in a short time will kill 50% of those who try it. Of course, you'll get serious caffeine intoxication with much smaller doses too...

  2. My grandmother and I are capable of drinking two pots a day each.  I take my coffee black so I'm not of doing it in sugar and cream.   But as for the caffine intake.  My coffee is made with two scoops.  I'm fine.  No jitters, or constant movement like I'm ADHD.

  3. 5 or 6

  4. 2 maybe 3.

  5. My limit is 3 mugs,about a half  pot:)

  6. coffee isnt good at all.

  7. I'm not really sure, but it makes sense that you would probably feel quite bloated long before you overdosed on the caffeine. Personally, I can only take 2 or 3 mugs of coffee one after the other - and if I drink it after 7pm then there is no way I am going to sleep that night!

  8. I have a cup everymorning to wake me up. I think it helps with my asthma in the morning.

    Although that could be phycological..meh

  9. Two

  10. mximum of three

  11. i have read the studies and reports, it really depends on weight and exposure. earlier drinkers (age wise) build up the tolerance to quicker that others (person who lets say starts drinkin coffee (one a day) at age 16 will be more likely to consume 5-8 a day by age 30 while)

Personally i believe that two cups really.

  12. From a recent study.....

"If contradicting research has you wondering if coffee is healthy or harmful, the answer is simple: it depends.

A recent study showed a benefit from drinking java on a population level. But it's difficult to make individual recommendations for safe coffee consumption, said Dr. Ahmed El-Sohemy, a University of Toronto associate professor funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research who has studied caffeine and health.

El-Sohemy’s research has showed that coffee could either lower or raise a person's risk of heart attack.

That's because safe daily coffee intake is going to vary with the ability to process caffeine, and that changes from person to person. There's no easy way to tell how effectively your body deals with caffeine, and therefore how much of it is safe for you to drink, he said.

Because individual variations are hard to measure, it’s difficult to confidently recommend a safe amount of coffee consumption because what might be dangerous for one person could have no effect on another, El-Sohemy said. That’s why numerous studies have associated coffee consumption with both an increased and a decreased risk for many chronic diseases, he said.

Even for a single condition like heart disease, the findings have been inconsistent."
