Implantation usually happens within a few days of ovulation. It all depends on the timing of when and where the sperm meets the egg. If the sperm are ready and waiting for the egg, then implantstion may take a couple of days as the pair continue their journey to the uterus for implantation. If the egg has already travelled and meets the sperm at a later point in the fallopian tubes, then there is less time for the pair to journey together on their way to the uterus. The best time to test is about 2 weeks after ovulation, give or take a day or two.
