How many days are there between the first day of spring & the first day of winter?

it depends on the spring solstice and the winter's equinox

on an average it would be around 275 days

Simply have your child use a calendar in your home that has the Vernal Equinox in March date listed on it and count the days until the Winter Solstice in December. That would be 9 months, approxiatley 270 days give or take a few days for those months that are longer and shorter during that 9 month period.
