i thought there were like 1000 but aparently not because the new year started like 10 days ago and its been less than 1000 days scince the last year.......?

There is 365 days in a year, except the leap year, which is every four years, which is 366 days. A month is 30 or 31 days, except February, which is 28. Use this saying:

30 days hath (haves) September, April, June, and November, all the rest have 31, except February which has 28, except on a leap year, when it has 29.
