How many days before you actually come on your period, do you start to have cramps?

How many days before you actually come on your period, do you start to have cramps?

I only get them the first heavy day of my period...none before or after..just that one day when it starts full force.

(I know..I'm kinda lucky that way)

I get cramps up to ten days before my period. Sometimes I get none at all and it comes as a complete surprise. Some months it's worse than others.
