How many days before your birthday should you celebrate? Is it okay to even celebrate before your birthday?

I think it's okay to celebrate in advance if you're trying to avoid the usual hassles surrounding your actual birthday. For instance, my daughter's birthday is in June, but at that time there's usually so many people taking their summer family vacations that there's no one around to come to her party. It's better to celebrate a month early. Likewise if you have a birthday right around Christmas. Who wants to go to a birthday party at Christmas? Better to celebrate a month early or later.

You can celebrate whenever you choose.  If you're asking about etiquette, most people would consider it a bit arrogant if you celebrated more than a few days before your birthday, and most people who do this only do so in order to have their party on a weekend when their birthday is  not.
