  3. In the Uk you would be classed as a young worker therefore the following applies:

    a limit of eight hours' working time a day and 40 hours a week

    not to work between 10pm and 6am or between 11pm and 7am (except in certain circumstances)

    12 hours' rest between each working day

    two days' weekly rest and a 30-minute in-work rest break when working longer than four and a half hours.


  4. Depends how many hours a day they are doing. I don't think there's a law if they are only working 2 hours a day, ie 14 hours a week for example.

    If they are doing 12 hours a day ie, 84 hours a week then the employers breaking the law, in UK anyway.

    In your case, 17, the maximum hours a week is 40, ie, 5 day week at 8hrs.
