How many days do I add to my journey?

I am jetting into NYC on Saturday but I have a fax telling me a tornado is forecast and my plane will most likely be re-routed. Where can I expect to land and how long will a bus take to get back to NY from Poughkeepsie or wherever, please?

I'm going to guess that if due to weather your aircraft  can't land at EWR/JFK/LGA then they are considering Stewart International Airport [SWF ] in Newburgh NY as their first alternate airport

I'm guessing that if need be they'll bus you to NYC

Metro-North which runs the commuter trains from Beacon [just across the Hudson from Newburgh  ] to Grand Central takes about 90 minute to do that trip

You'll be ok. I'm an east coaster for life. At the worst you'll be routed to Newark and that is not far from NYC. You'll be ok.
