How many days does it take for a letter to get to.....?

letters usually take 3 days no matter where they are going

Depends on where your city's mail main processing center is.  If it is in your city-letter should get there next day.  If it is in a neighboring city it will take 2 days to get processed.  However, the post office does not guarantee this-to get guarantee-go via UPS.
