  1. 4 is enough

Harbour, bridge, opera house,The Rocks, Manly and northern beaches, day tour on explorer bus, shopping in the CBD

  2. at least 5. thats time to do the city (bridge climb, harbour cruise, darling harbour, opera house etc), a trip to the blue mountains and a visit to the beach. the weather wont really be beachy but you cant go to sydney and not at least take a walk along bondi. if the weather is decent then manly is better. anyway, enjoy

  3. The more days you can spend, the better. There is a lot to see - all the beaches, around the Harbour and Opera House, The Rocks, ferry to Manly, day trip to the Blue Mountains is a definite, shopping, the Bridge Climb if you can afford it (its almost $100 to do it), Bondi and the eastern suburbs (Watson's Bay and The Gap) ......

Yeah, lots to see - you'll be surprised at how much there is. And it all great!!

  4. Three to four is sufficient enough. A good deal of the sites in Sydney are close by. But do take a day trip out to the Blue Mountains( see link below), as that is worth the trip. Do the bridge climb if you can afford it, but make sure you do it on a day that has good weather. Skip the harbour cruise and jump on a ferry which is way cheaper. Go to Bondi so as you can say you have been there. Head to the rocks for a few beers and a look around at the oldest buildings in this country that are still standing. A must is the zoo which you Catch the ferry too. And if you are an early riser sunrise from the Opera House can sometimes be magnificent.

  5. I'd say a week. see the bridge, take the ferry to manley, take in a performance at the opera house see the clock in the vicoria building and put a coin in the charity dog to make it work. take the monorail to the aquarium. visit the casino and have a buffet lunch, try paddy's market and buy an original from a young australian designer, doyle's fish restaurant on the pier at watson's bay is a must. while your there you could visit the church at hmas watson which is worth a visit. walk over the bridge.....

  6. At least three (Sydney centre - Bridge, Opera House, plus ferry to Manly) and two in Blue Mountains.

However four or five days is probably more realistic and comfortable.  Plus you can always leave early right?
