How many days is enough for venice?

I want to have a trip to Venice in the last days of April.

I want to know that how many days is enough for sightseeing in Venice?

3 days, I went there two times for just a day and it was ok, so I think that 3 days are even more than you need

Well i have to be honest, it the most beautiful city i have seen. And the guy stating a lifetime is porbably right. However, it smells...really bad. I dunno, its dead expensive so i'd say ALL THINGS CONSIDERED a week, maybe 10 days?

You are so lucky, talk about beautiful!!  You could spend a lifetime in Venice!  If you have limited time a week to 10 days should get in all the major stuff!

I wouldn't go for less than a week, especially if youare interested in the art and architecture.

There are hundreds of little churches all of which seem to contain the most amazing artworks. Plus there are the galleries, markets, shops, palaces and the lido. Then you must go to the islands - Murano, Torchello and Burano - make sure you see the glassworkers.

It depends if you are going alone or with wife/girlfriend. If you go as a couple you will enjoy it more and you would wish to stay longer because it's really romantic. Take a average of 8 days you will enjoy it.

If this is your first time going than a 5-10 days should suffice.  When you get there, just like with any other European city your going to be in awe of everything around you and in shock and not even know it.  That takes a good 2-3 days to wear off.  Give yourself time to get lost and walk the streets without an agenda for the last few days.  You might want to do the whole tourist thing for the first few days, also, take the boat ride on the canal, eat in the square, feed the pidgeons, be a camera w***e and take pictures of everything.  Once thats all said and done, leave those things in the hotel room including the map and take off on foot to wherever you feel like going that day.  Let yourself wander.

5 days should see you get to see all the main attractions.

If you don't want to fork out on an expensive hotel, i suggest you stay in a hotel just off the mainland and just get a bus into town, they'l drop you off near the 'bus-boats' and you can start from there.

Better allow three days, at least, aprticularly if you decide to try to visit some of the other islands (e.g., Murano) or the Lido, or if you are a real art fan.

venice is a show stopper - if you love the renaissance you can never leave - but 3-4 days minimum... the curches and side alleys, just walk and take a camera - you cannot really get lost, the angles, and light, churches and vistas everywhere ... take a trip out to the outer islands where the monastery is, go to the island where they have the lass factory ,... get tickets for la fenice the opera, and take in a real concert (not the tourist tout ones).....

and if you fly ryanair allow a 1/2 to get ther from treviso... if money is a problem use a Albergo on the mainland and go across on a vaperetto - costs just cents....

Venice is small. I would say that 3 days are enough, but i would stay there for a month taking photos.

If you stay central (and not in Mestre), you save time from trains and vaporetos, so yes, 3 days is ok.
