  1. You can travel for a year without seeing everything.

    What are you looking for?

    Cities:

Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne, Duesseldorf, Dresden, Leipzig, Nuremberg, Munich are in my opinion the most beautiful metropolian areas.

    Towns:

Potsdam, Rostock, Luebeck, Muenster, Ruedesheim, Koblenz, Trier, Erfurt, Eisenach,Ruedesheim, Bamberg, Bayreuth, Coburg ...

    Medvial locations:

Burg Elz, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Mosel Valley, Rhein Valley, Porta Nigra (Roman), Wartburg, Heidelberg, Cochem ... (100 more)

    Castles:

Sanssouci, Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau, Linderhof, Herrenchiemsee, Schloss Jahannesburg, Wuerzburger Residenz ....

    Landscapes:

Ruegen Island, Bodensee, Chiemsee, Alps, Schwarzwald, Spreewald, Mecklenburger Seenplatte, Rhein Valley, Ostsee, Nordsee.

    Additional:

    Mueseums, Arts, Festivals

    For car lovers:

Autobahn, Nuerburgring, Formula1 Grand Prix, BMW plant(s), Mercedes Benz plant(s), Porsche plant(s), Volkswagen plant(s) especially the Glaeserne Manufactur (glass manufacture) in Dresden

    For Music lovers:

Opera houses, Musicals, Live concersts all over the place, especially in summer.

    I could continue.

There are a few theme parks, not too many famous beaches and summer is either hot and dry or cold and rainy (impossible to predict).

Germany can be beautiful, Germany can be ugly, Germany can be interesting, Germany can be boring, Germany can be rich, Germany can be poor, Germany can be a clean and quiet landscape, Germany can be a loud and dirty town.

To experience all of it: Impossible. To experience most of it: years. To experience the essentials of it at least some months (since every region has a different history, landscape, architecture, tradition and dialect). To see the most famous highlits: several weeks. To do a bus tour to jump out at a few of the most famous highlights: 2 weeks.

  2. 0 germany sucks

  3. 2 weeks should be enough to see it all

  4. I was there a month.  We didn't spend much time in the black forest, but I really got a very good overall picture of Germany.  I think you could do it in 2 weeks, but you wouldn't get as much of the culture of Germany now in there.  Have fun - it was amazing!

  5. it really depends what you want to see...its such a big country and so much to see...if you go there for the first time you might pick just one or two Cities and take your time to enjoy them in full...maybe come for 5 days...
