How many days it takes to get the employment visa after the Labour Permit is issued?

Hi people.. I would like to know how many days it usually takes after the labour permit is thru from the ministry of labour in Dubai. It been 8 days over from the date of receiving labour permit, yet no emp. visa. Is there any possibility of emp visa rejection after the L. permit is issued? What is the procedire they follow to issue and labour permit and then and emp. visa?

Also, what are the best places for a bachelor to hang around in dubai. Is dubai shopping is cheaper than rest of middle east and asian countries?

Kindly let me know asap.. i am tensed.

Anyone who wants to take up employment in the UAE should have a work permit from the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.

The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs normally takes two to three weeks to approve an employment visa if all the documents are in place. As regards checking the authenticity of the visa, get it verified at the UAE embassy in India.
