  1. more than you need. usually you can weight train one day, rest the next and work again the following day. that way your muscles get a break in between workouts, but they are always continuing to break down and re-build themselves. resting one day in between is sufficient enough

  2. Do workout every other day.

  3. get some answers at http://www.bodybuilding.com for how long to rest between sessions.

Have you watched any of the Summer Olympics from Peking?? You should have been watching. Those athletes do not take days off. They are all fantastic. http://www.nbcolympics.com and there are all the videos of all the competitions to watch. Have fun!!

  4. Hi,

As a general rule for heavy weight sessions, try to give your muscles between 48-72 hours rest before training the same muscle again.

A good indicator to see if you have recuperated is the following.

If you find yourself losing strength or a poundage that you have used before in a exercise feels too heavy to complete your reps-Take another day or two off.

    Hope this helps   Bill
