How many days to get a reply from British Consulate New York?

How many days to get a reply from British Consulate New York. I applied for a visit visa to UK. I applied online and forwarded the required document, I even went for a biometric appointment. Its five today. I have not heard from them...........according to their website, they indicate that I will get reply between 3-5 days. What could be wrong . Any advice?

It all depends on the time of year you make a request.

If you ask in the Summer, you MUST wait until they come off the golf course.

If you ask in Winter, you MUST wait till they come off the ski slopes

Etc., etc, etc.
